NADELL is an ethical fashion brand that creates apparel using organic cotton and other natural fabrics. NADELL means “to stroke gently” in Japanese. When soft cloth touches our skin, we can’t deny the comfort it brings. This simple effect is the heart of our manufacturing. So the conversation with the skilled artisans is the most important process to create our materials. This is one of the reasons why we are based in Kyoto – Japan’s ancient capital and a home to a wide variety of traditional handicraft.
In every process of production, a sustainable and peaceful approach is chosen. NADELL supports the conservation of natural resources and oppose the exploitation of farmers and artisans. Cotton used for production is entirely certified as organic cotton. The color dyeing methods are carefully chosen to minimize the effect on the environment.
NADELL also takes the initiative to spread the concept of ethical wedding. Using very thin organic cotton and quality silk, our dresses are formal but extremely comfortable. Traditional handcrafted textiles from all over the world are also sometimes used as a part of the design.
